Global Public Policy Institute

Role
Head of Communications (2013–2018)
Editor  (2010–2018)
Communications Manager (2010–2013)
The Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi) is an independent non-profit think tank based in Berlin. Its mission is to improve global governance through research, policy advice, and debate.  I worked there for eight years, as communications manager, editor, and head of communications. In collaboration with a consultancy called WAALD, I orchestrated the GPPi rebrand, a project that resulted in an essential written narrative that conveys the organization’s purpose and values. That story supplied inspiration for a fresher, bolder visual identity.

During the project and in the years following, I designed nearly all of the assets myself, including the website, printed matter, signage, and infographics.
GPPi analyzes global affairs and offers policy advice for clients from the public sector, including the United Nations, the European Commission, and national governments. Designing explanatory graphics for research papers and reports was an important aspect of my work.
